Show Up For Success

Nature. Place. Belonging

The Lab E20 is home to Show Up For Success: a cross-sector collaboration between Newham Council - Youth Empowerment Service, Kind At Heart CIC, RAEBURN & Get Living.

Our mission, through co-creation here in the heart of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, is to develop and scale a world class place-based platform and paradigm for innovating accessible career pathway solutions for young people with disabilities who wish to excel in the creative industries and hospitality sectors.

Our programme consists of:

Show Up For Success: Industry Symposium - bringing together employers and local stakeholders to re-skill and redesign hiring and training practices.

Show Up For Success Summer School - an immersive programme in personal development, personal branding and portfolio development delivered by Kind At Heart CIC and co-designed in partnership with Newham Council’s local Youth Citizens.

Through our cross-sector partnerships here in The Lab E20 our mission is to innovate solutions and establish a lasting legacy that ensure’s the future of the cultural placemaking and the creative industries is accessible, inclusive and equitable for the Next Generations to come.

The Manifesto

Written by Kehinde & Laz

“Thank you everyone for being part of this very important campaign.

The reason we are here today is because we are campaigning to change employers’ attitudes.

People with disabilities try to get jobs and can’t find it because of the stigma of their needs and abilities.

We want to educate companies and ease people’s fears in working with disabled people.

We want both employers and ourselves to know:

We are creative

We have a lot of skills

We have a voice and

We want to be heard”

Show Up For Success

Summer School

In partnership with Kind At Heart CIC, Newham Council, RAEBURN and Get Living & we have developed a new, immersive training programme and campaign for young people with disabilities and learning difficulties.

(May, 2025)

Show Up For Success: Industry Symposium

On 1st May 2025, we launched the next phase of this movement, bringing employers and local stakeholders to the table: Show Up For success: Nature, Place, Belonging, our very first industry symposium and cross sector collaboration, which featured participation from representatives from companies and organisations such as Financial Times, Publica, University Arts London, UCL, V&A Museum, Creative UK, Sign Health, Zetteler PR, Transport for London and many more!

“The Lab E20 is clearly not just a space, but a movement - centred around equity, creativity and meaningful inclusion.

“Show Up For Success” sounds like an incredible initiative tackling systemic barriers with real world solutions and collaboration.

Huge respect for bringing industry leaders, local stakeholders, and youth together to reshape narratives and open up tangible opportunities.”
